Tasting - Finca del Castillo Tempranillo

Name: Finca del Castillo Tempranillo
Variety: Tempranillo
Region: La Mancha
Country: Spain
Year: 2011
Price: $4.95
Shop review: Rooty, spicy and baked on the nose, with aromas that lean towards raisin. The palate is more gritty and acidic, with raisin, cola, and spicy flavors. Darkens up on the finish, which is long and peppery,
with adequate juiciness and a final note of tomato.
My review: LOVED IT, BOUGHT IT, WOULD LOOK FOR IT AGAIN! I totally picked up on the spiciness... that was exciting.  I couldn't really put into words the rest of it.  I have in my notes that it tasted "earthy" which I guess goes along with the root, peppery idea.  I liked how easy it was to drink... that usually makes them a winner in my book.  This is another one I indulged in while watching the Superbowl.
